When doing your crunches, focus on proper breathing to really get rid of that belly. What you need to do is fully exhale at the top of your abdominal crunch movements. This will cause your abdominal muscles to have to work harder, which will cause you to see results much quicker.

Try building yourself up when you are first starting your diet. Start by eliminating certain foods from your diet or reducing them. Then make a list of exercises that you will be preforming and make a schedule of when and where you will be doing them slowly and gradually.

Don't let your food touch! When filling your plate for a meal, think in terms of having only one plate, no seconds! Also, don't let your food touch. Keep the mashed potatoes in one pile, the pork chop in another and the broccoli in another. That way you are much more likely to not overeat because, in effect, you are controlling your portion size.

Stop over eating. Eat smaller portions more often. The healthiest is to have 5-6 meals a day. If you can't eat that many times, try to have a filling breakfast and eat smaller meals or snacks during the day. Avoid three course, calorie packed dinners. Your body doesn't need that much energy for the few more hours you will be awake. Most of the energy will be stored in fat which makes you gain weight.

There is no magic pill that is going to cause you to start losing weight. There are prescriptions from your doctor which can help you not digest fat, but they can cause dangerous spikes in blood pressure which could instead kill you. Stick to eating healthy and exercising to live a long life!
