There are now very many ways to cure mental dysfunctions, and one of these is through medication. Patients will be given drugs that are believed to be of great help. Antidepressants, anxiolytics, and mood stabilizers are only among the few prescription psychoactive drugs administered for these cases.

Being with a support group also helps. Such groups are often composed of people who are undergoing the same journey. They hold on to each other as they go their way on the road to recovery. These are often quite successful, as people often feel better knowing that they are not alone in their suffering.

It can also lift some of the burden on the family. Going through such phases takes its toll not only on the patient, but to other members as well. They can meet up with other people who have more or less the same life experience as them and boost each other up. Self help groups almost always bring out the best in people.
