Education is very important for people in improving their lives or achieving their goals such as getting a good source of income. Educational tools are necessary for these to happen specially when they attend schools to get educated. Some areas have impoverished citizens that have a hard time providing their kids some school materials that they needed.
Some organizations and companies are donating these materials to a school of their choice in order to help the students in there. Doing this makes it more convenient for the recipients because they have somewhere to place all those they received.
These bags contain supplies usually such as notebooks, rulers, paper, pencils, scissors, crayons, glue, colored pencils and erasers. Or making one yourself is another possibility together with volunteers from the local community.
Start by inviting your relatives and friends if they want to become volunteers of this project you are planning to make. Continue inviting others as well including all other people you know and let them invite those they know too. If a good number of people have volunteered for your organization then you may start in getting things organized.
Develop your vision which is the inspiration and aspiration of what are those you want to achieve and create. Then develop your mission next which is the clear and concise description of the purpose your organization have. This must come with challenging, achievable, measurable and specific goals like donating school supplies.
Name your group based on what best describes its functions or based it upon a person that has been an inspiration and reason for making this project. This will help on encouraging others in donating for its cause. Other similar charities exist so find something to differentiate you from them so you would be noticed still even among them.
Write your plan down so you would know the steps in achieving your goal of donating school supplies to students who need them. Start by identifying the school where you will give the donations you will be collecting from volunteers and other donors. Then list down what these donations would be and if you prefer it to be financial or in kind.
Register so you could be allowed to operate as a nonprofit organization with tax exemption which helps in maximizing your funds. Do this with the help of a lawyer and accountant who had experience of registering nonprofit groups. They would advise you about the proper steps in registering and operating so you do not break government rules.
Create a website which helps in spreading awareness to people about your plans and as a place for them to contact you and send donations. Then you can start raising funds to achieve your goals and partner with established foundations, individuals and organizations for help. Expect many meetings to happen before fully realizing your goal to donate school supplies collected by your group.
